Organic cashmere

What is the difference between Organic Cashmere vs. Regular Cashmere?

Organic Cashmere is made from pure, untreated cashmere fibers in their natural colors — Light Cream, Light Grey, Beige, and Brown. Because the fibers remain in their natural state, they are softer, stronger, and more durable, creating a fabric that can last a lifetime.

Regular Cashmere, on the other hand, is often heavily processed with bleaches, harsh chemicals, synthetic dyes, and softeners. These treatments damage the natural structure of the fibers, reducing their quality and longevity. To compensate, regular cashmere is typically subjected to extra washes and chemical softeners that only mask the weakened fibers.

Care instructions

Taking care of your product containing Organic Cashmere fibers

Cashmere can last for years if properly cared. It's best to avoid washing it more than necessary.

First of all, never dry clean or machine wash cashmere. Both cleaning processes are too rough on the fabric, and they risk stripping the protective natural lanolin from the fibers. Purchase a low-alkaline detergent for delicate items, or use baby shampoo as the cleaning agent.

The following easy steps will considerably prolong your cashmere's lifetime:

Washing instructions

  • Fill a basin with warm water (70-85 degrees is ideal) and add a small amount of shampoo without conditioner.
  • Gently swirl the cashmere garment in the water for a couple of minutes, taking care not to rub, stretch, or pull the material.
  • Empty and refill the basin to rinse the item. Repeat as needed until no more soap is detectable.
  • Gently squeeze to remove excess water, and transfer the item to a towel. Blot dry.
  • If the item is still very wet, roll it gently between two fresh towels to remove excess water.

Drying instructions

  • Do not tumble dry your garment, only air dry it.
  • Allow the item to dry flat on a drying rack or a towel until dry.

Ironing instructions

  • It can be pressed by turning inside-out using an iron on its lowest setting, and by placing a clean, damp cloth in between the garment and your iron.
  • Always keep the iron moving over the garment, but do not allow the iron to come into direct contact with the cashmere.
  • You can also safely remove creases from cashmere garments with a hand-held steamer.

Care instructions

Taking care of your product containing TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers

The beauty is that Lyocell does not only have the above-described advantages, but it is also easy to take care of. However, to get the most out of our clothes you should take the following instructions to heart:

Washing instructions

  • Do not overload your washing machine. Overloaded washing machines cause friction, which wears the clothes out faster.
  • Turn your garment inside out. If you wash your shirt together with other garments with zips or small hooks, we recommend that you put it in a wash bag to avoid damage.
  • Wash garments of similar colors together.
  • Use wool detergent as normal detergent can damage the fabric.
  • Don't use too much detergent as overdosing will make your clothes brighter.
  • Do not use fabric softener or bleach. This can affect colors.
  • Wash cold at 30°C delicates program with a maximum of 1,400 revolutions.

Drying instructions

  • Do not tumble dry your garment, only air dry it.
  • Hang your shirt on a hanger or line to dry.
  • Avoid direct heat or direct sunlight.

Ironing instructions

  • Iron at a low temperature. On the iron, a low temperature or 1 point.
  • Use steam to remove wrinkles. Alternatively, spray a little water before placing the iron on the garment.
  • Do not use sprayed starch or fabric softener.
